Grade 1 and 2 have been studying beat. "Beat is the heart beat of music!"
Grade 3 started out learning about rhythm and have been introduced to ukulele!
Grade 4 is doing an amazing job performing triplet and sixteenth note patterns while 5th graders are becoming experts in meter!
FIRST MUSIC ASSESSMENT! Students took their first music assessment of the year on the above topics this week. 95% of all students who have taken the assessment have received marks of competent or exceeds competent! GREAT JOB KIDDOS!!!

CRAZY about Happy Notes! - I love to celebrate and let students know when they have done a great job. I do this all the time by giving a small, laminated card called a "happy note" with the kiddo's name on it. I announce to the class the success of the student and what a great job he/she has done and we all clap for that student! Makes for a lot of mini student celebrations! YAY!

McClelland Drama Sign-Ups- Remember: Sign-ups are Monday, September 15th from 3:15 pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Students must be accompanied by their parent to sign up.
