Our concert is fast approaching. Each student in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4th and 5th grade chorus will participate in this concert. ( 4th and 5th graders who choose not to sing in chorus will not be part of the concert.) Please encourage your child to practice each day- especially to practice singing and dancing together; it really helps one to remember the lyrics. You can download all music in the "Concert Preparation" link at the top of this page. All students have received lyrics to their songs which should be very helpful with the learning process. Each page in the lyric sheets tells which grade is responsible for learning that particular song.
Each student can dress as they wish and feel comfortably for our concert/play. I am suggesting this year for kids to wear their “best” attire if possible. Or kids might choose to wear a fun winter hat and mittens. One could dress simply in red and green or other bright colors. The play we are putting up is so much fun and lends itself to costume easily; consider a santa hat or other holiday accessories. I just ask that students look their best and to feel comfortable. No new outfits needed. Be creative!
- Students should arrive at Rochester Middle School and go into the gym on (McClelland- Monday Dec. 14th) (Gonic- Tuesday Dec. 15th) between 6:00 - 6:15. We will begin our performance promptly at 6:30pm.
- Students will leave their coats and all other belongings with their parents for safe keeping.
- Kids will go directly to their places on the risers and wait for further directions. Parents- PLEASE STAY CLEAR of the staging area. It is very busy there as we begin our concert.
- After the performance is over the children will be dismissed by grade starting with 1st grade and dismiss in order through grade 5. The children will remain in their places and parents will pick up the children from the risers. Please follow this procedure as it keeps our children safe.
